Gay and Lesbian Tourism Australia Ltd (GALTA) is a professional, non-profit organisation
which has been established to assist the gay, lesbian and bisexual traveller by maintaining standards
of
service and hospitality in tourism related products.
The aims of the
Gay and Lesbian Tourism Australia are:

To foster the development of
a gay and lesbian tourism infrastructure within Australia

Help in the promotion of gay and lesbian tourism to and within
Australia

To maintain standards of service, hospitality and travel related
products and services.

To enhance the development of training programmes that will enhance the quality of
Australian gay and lesbian tourism products and service.

Committed to the welfare and satisfaction of the gay, lesbian and bisexual traveller.

To liaise with the main stream tourism industry on the needs of the gay, lesbian and bisexual traveller.
To maintain quality service and standards, each tourism provider will have
"GALTA Member" displayed on their information/ reservation
page.
Gay and Lesbian Tourism Australia
works closely with the Australian Tourist Commission, State Tourism
organizations
and Australian mainstream tourism industry to foster understanding and
co-operation in the development of Australian gay and lesbian tourism industry.
Gay and Lesbian Tourism Australia
works closely with Gay
Tourism New Zealand to foster gay and lesbian tourism to Australia, New Zealand and the
